. My
father, Fred Krock, was a general surgeon in the Navy reserves. He was 41
when the war began in 1941. He was sent to Corpus Christi in December of
1941, out to
San Francisco in
August of 1943, and left for Banika on November 11, 1944. He returned
via Hawaii after the war was over.
